Specialists at the Rebecca Fortney Breast Center at Anne Arundel Medical Center have found that over the past decade the incidents of breast cancer have stayed steady while breast cancer deaths have steadily declined.   During this same period they have found that many doctors are scaling back treatments and are working to find ways to treat less while improving results.

They attribute this to removing fewer lymph nodes, reducing radiation, and targeted therapy.
